Verbal Drinking Games

24 games

21

You need at least 5 players for this game to be fun. Whoever starts off will say, "I propose a game of 21!" and then say a direction, "to my left" or "to my right" and then says a number, or a series of numbers.

Starting Rules:

Saying one number - "one", play goes to the called direction.
Saying two numbers - "one, two" , play goes in the reverse direction.
Saying three numbers - "one, two, three" , play goes in the original direction, but one player is skipped.

If you make a mistake you take a sip of your drink and the game returns to 1. The player who calls 21 finishes their drink and then instates a new rule. Something such as, instead of saying 12, you have to say pumpkin, etc. The game restarts at one with the new rule.

Example:
Andy, Bill, Cath, Dan, Ed and Fran are sitting with Andy at 12 o clock, and the other players arranged clockwise:
1: Andy: I propose a game of 21! To my left: 1, 2. {play called to the left, but reversed immediately to Fran}
2: Fran: 3. { Ed}
3: Ed: 4, 5, 6 {skips Dan to Cath}
4: Cath: 7, 8 {Cath violates the additional rule "reversing into a hole"! She is penalised 2 fingers of drink.
5: Cath drinks
6: Cath: I propose a game of 21! To my left, etc...

ABC's

You can have as many players as you want, the more the better. You start by saying a word that begins with the letter of the alphabet. For example:

- First person: A is for apple
- Second person: A is for apple, B is for boy
- Third person: A is for apple, B is for boy, C is for cat, etc...

The point is that you have to remember what all of the previous people have said for each letter and then say each letter of the alphabet before your letter also. Each time you mess up you have to drink. Before the game starts decide on the set number of drinks for each time someone screws up.

Answer This

This game includes two and only two people. It works best if you and the other person are of opposite sex. The players sit across from each other at a table with a bottle of their favorite liquor and two shot glasses placed between them.

The first person asks a personal question of the other person. The second can choose to answer or drink. They take turns asking and answering/drinking.

The more personal the question, the better the game will be. Either way, it's win-win when asking. You can either learn personal info on your partner or get them drunk.

Beer Sex

Beer Sex is a game that you play when you are road-tripping. You can play with as many people that you can fit in your car.

The first person to see a car with one headlight hits the roof of the car and yells out "beer sex". Everyone else must follow. The last person to yell it out has to take off one piece of clothing and take 10 drinks. The game is over when the driver says it's over.

NOTE: Driving with an Open Container is illegal in many areas, so, yeah, play at your own risk, and driver can't play cause that's how we roll.

Big Fat Hen

All participants sit in a circle. There is one leader, who is responsible for leading the game. This individual must memorize the passages below in full. The leader starts off by saying the first phrase and then is copied by each person around the circle. After the first phrase has been completed properly by the whole circle, the next phrase is added to the one before.

If someone messes up/stutters or is unsure of the next line, they must drink. After they drink, the leader must repeat the phrase so they can try again. They must try until they get it correct. Here are the phrases in order:

- A Big Fat Hen
- A Couple O' Ducks
- Three Brown Bears
- Four Running Hares
- Five Frisky Felines Frolicking On A Freeway
- Six Swans Swimming Sideways Through A Sea Green Sewer
- Seven Sexy Sluts Sucking On A Sticky Sucker
- Eight Elongated Elephants Elevating Elegantly In An Elevator
- Nine Naughty Nuns Necking In A Nunnery
- Ten, A Box Of Biscuits, A Box Of Mixed Biscuits, A Biscuit Mixer

Bizz Buzz

Sit everyone around in a circle. Choose one person to start. They start by saying the number 1. The person to their left says then says 2 and so on. When someone is about to say either 5 or a multiple of 5 they must say BIZZ. When somebody is about to say 7, a multiple of 7, any number with a 7 in it (except numbers that start with 7, like 71-74,76,78,79) they must say BUZZ.

Example:
1, 2, 3, 4, Bizz, 6, Buzz, 8, 9, Bizz, Buzz, 12, 13, Buzz, Bizz, 16, Buzz, 18, 19, Bizz...

When you get to numbers that are multiples of 5 and 7, like 35 and 70, you say "Bizz Buzz." If anyone messes up, that person drinks and starts over with 1. This is supposed to be a quick moving game so if someone thinks for an extended period of time that counts as messing up. This game is similar to "Buzz".

Blunder

Everyone sits in a circle facing inwards. Each person has an object in their hands, i.e. a lighter, a bottle cap, a quarter, a cigarette, a pen, etc. In unison everyone must say the name of the object they are holding. In this manner, for example I use a pen as the object in my hand and say, " This is a pen, a pen, a pen, this is a pen, a pen.

Once this has been completed you hand your object to the right. Take the one from the left and start again. "This is a cap, a cap, a cap, this is a cap, a cap.

The hard part is listening to those on BOTH sides of yourself for they WILL make mistakes and you will point this out by shouting "BLUNDER!". By listening to others you yourself may blunder and say the wrong item. The Blunder-er must take a drink - and the game starts again. The drunker you become the harder this game is.

Bobby's World

In the beginning of this game only two people should know how to play, the person who wants to play, and one other person they tell the rules to. In order "to go" to Bobby's world, you have to "bring" some thing that starts with the same letters, so you being saying things like: Large Letters, Big Boobs, Nice Nails, Various Veins, Clean Cups, etc.

Every one has to "catch-on" to the rules and can not gain admission unless they figure out the rules. If they get it wrong, they have to drink and then the game just continues until everyone is drunk, or someone is left alone and wants to know how the game works.

You can make up different rules for the items you name. For example, you could say that the last letter of the first word has to be the same as the first letter of the second word. You should try to change the rules for items each time you play so that it isn't too easy to get into Bobby's World.

Buffalo

This is the kind of drinking game that never really has to end, it can be a part of the way you live. Any time you hold your drink in the hand that you write with, and someone calls "Buffalo!" you have to down the drink and get another one. So if you're right handed, no right-handed drinking and vice versa for lefties.

In this game you need to be vigilant. Also you don't need to be drinking alcohol, it can be anything from water, to red bull.

Buzz

Sit everyone around in a circle. Choose one person to start. They start by saying the number 1. The person to their left or right (it doesn't matter) says then says 2 and so on. When someone is about to say either 7, 11, a multiple of 7 or 11, or a number containing 7, they must say Buzz.

Example:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Buzz, 8, 9, 10, Buzz, etc...

As soon as someone says Buzz you switch directions. So if you were going to the right you switch to the left. If anyone messes up, everyone drinks. This is supposed to be a quick moving game so if someone thinks too long that counts as messing up. It's really fun and easy to learn!!
